Jovino Santos Neto, a three-time Latin Grammy nominee, is a master pianist, flutist, composer, arranger, and conductor from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In his solo piano recitals, he explores all the possibilities of the instrument, combining the rhythmic and harmonic audacity of Hermeto Pascoal’s pieces with his own poems and Brazilian tonal improvisations, spanning the distance from lyrical to effervescent in a few bars. It also pays tribute to some of the greatest Brazilian composers such as Jobim, Pixinguinha, and Ernesto Nazareth.
