Project Description
Between the academic and the popular, Mixturas tries to elaborate a wide sound panning. A journey through the landscapes of our pampas and mountains; the countryside and the city. They aim to reach chamber music’s authors from the past century and the present who are inspired by those sounds of popular roots. Tango, folklore and rock merge on stage with moving images, trying to create an intimate atmosphere of encounter. A journey that encourages reflection on sound identity, while investigating new ways of living the experience of chamber music. The project is founded on the meeting of the tradition of the string quartet, Numen, with the irreverence of PuntoAr, an unusual quartet of percussion, clarinet, guitar and double bass. Together, these two groups rehearse the path of meeting in turn, with visual art and words.
